Vintage Sadler Pearlized Lustreware Ginger Jar with Lid - Birds of Paradise (Shape 0406)
A striking vintage 1960s/1970s lidded ceramic ginger jar produced by Sadler, England (impressed mark '0406' to base). Features an iridescent, pearlized lustre glaze decorated with detailed Birds of Paradise / exotic birds perched amongst foliage, finished with gilded trim details. Measures approximately 21 cm (8.25 inches) in height with lid.
Condition: A hairline crack is present along the upper rim/neck of the vase (please see photos for close-ups). Otherwise clean inside and out, with vibrant transfer artwork and iridescent lustre intact. Ideal as a decorative display piece or restoration project.
