1. Registration
To bid in any Clutter Clearers Auctions sale you must register an account and provide accurate personal details including your name, email address, and telephone number. By registering you confirm you are aged 18 or over and agree to these terms in full.
2. Bidding
All bids are legally binding offers to purchase. Once placed, a bid cannot be withdrawn. Proxy bids are accepted — enter the maximum amount you are willing to pay and the system will bid on your behalf in the smallest possible increments up to your maximum.
Bid increments are tiered as follows:
- £1 increments on lots under £50
- £5 increments on lots between £50 and £249
- £10 increments on lots of £250 and above
3. Buyer's Premium
There is no buyer's premium at Clutter Clearers Auctions. The hammer price is the total you pay for the lot, excluding any applicable delivery charges.
4. Auction Timetable
Auctions open every Sunday at 9am. Lots begin closing from 4pm the following Sunday, with one lot closing every 30 seconds. The closing order follows lot number sequence.
5. Payment
Payment is due within 48 hours of the auction closing. We accept payment by debit card, credit card, and bank transfer via our secure online checkout. Failure to pay within the deadline may result in the lot being re-listed and your account being suspended.
6. Collection
Lots must be collected from our premises at Powerstation Road, Sheerness, Kent, ME12 3AD within 72 hours of the auction closing. Collection is available on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday following the sale, by pre-booked appointment only, between 10am and 7pm. Please contact us on 07769 230858 or [email protected] to book your slot.
Lots not collected within 72 hours may incur a storage charge of £5 per lot per day. Lots uncollected after 14 days may be re-listed without refund.
7. Delivery
We offer a delivery service for smaller items at an additional charge. Delivery costs are calculated based on item size, weight, and destination postcode. Please contact us before bidding if you require delivery, so we can confirm availability and cost for that specific lot.
Large items such as furniture may not be suitable for postal delivery. We can recommend local couriers for oversized lots.
8. Condition of Lots
All lots are sold as seen. Condition reports and additional photographs are available on request prior to bidding. We endeavour to describe lots accurately but buyers are responsible for satisfying themselves as to condition before bidding. All sales are final.
Clutter Clearers Auctions acts as agent for the seller. We do not provide warranties or guarantees of authenticity unless expressly stated in the lot description.
9. Reserves
Some lots carry a reserve price. If bidding does not reach the reserve, the lot will be listed as unsold. Starting bids shown are the minimum opening bid, not necessarily the reserve price.
10. Disputes
In the event of a dispute regarding the outcome of a lot, the decision of Clutter Clearers Auctions is final. Any technical issues affecting bidding should be reported immediately to [email protected].
11. Data Protection
Your personal data is held securely and used only to administer your account and auction participation. We do not sell or share your data with third parties except where required to process payment or delivery. For full details please contact us.
