Pair of Antique Indo-Persian Tulwar Curved Swords – 18th/19th C. Iron & Brass Hilts
A pair of authentic antique Indo-Persian Tulwar (Talwar) curved swords, dating from the late 18th to the early 20th century. Both feature traditional disk pommels and single-edged curved steel blades. Missing scabbards, unpolished, and offered in unrestored antique condition as found.
Top Sword (Brass/Copper Hilt): Circa 19th to early 20th century. Cast brass/bronze hilt featuring a classic disk pommel and stepped button. The blade is struck/etched with traditional "sickle" or "eyebrow" pseudo-proof markings along the fuller.
Bottom Sword (Iron Hilt): Circa late 18th to 19th century. Iron hilt in traditional Indo-Muslim form with a heavy disk pommel.
Features delicate engraved floral/scrollwork decoration near the ricasso base, and an old brass repair pin/rivet near the blade tip.
Dimensions: Overall length approx. 83–85 cm (32.5–33.5 inches).
A fantastic pair for collectors of Asian militaria, ethnographica, or edge weapons. Exempt under the UK Offensive Weapons Act as genuine antique edged weapons.
