Mid-Century Modern Double Pedestal Desk - 1960s Bentwood Design
Fantastic authentic Mid-Century Modern (MCM) double-pedestal desk. This is a solid, heavy, and well-made piece—likely a 1960s British "Abbess" or "Esavian" era office desk.
The Standout Feature: The back of the pedestals feature beautiful curved "bentwood" plywood corners, meaning this desk is designed to be seen from all angles and looks great in the center of a room.
Details & Condition
Style: Two-tone aesthetic with black drawer fronts/top and honey-toned wood veneer.
Storage: 7 drawers in total (3 on one side 4 on other side). Drawers run smoothly and are very clean inside.
Condition: Solid and sturdy "used" vintage condition. There is scuffing and "ghosting" on the black top surface and some light age-related marks/nicks to the wood edges (see photos). Perfect as-is for an industrial look, or a very easy restoration project.
Transport: The top is currently detached from the pedestals, making it much easier to fit into a standard car.
