Authentic Original Watercolor by Thomas Edward Francis (1873–1961)
This is a beautiful, large-scale original watercolor painting by the noted British landscape artist Thomas Edward Francis. It features a quintessentially British scene of a thatched rural cottage with ducks/geese by a pond. It is housed in its original heavy gilt-style frame with a label on the reverse from the historic London carver and gilder W.H. Hayward of Catford.

Painting: There is some visible foxing (small brown age spots) and minor acid browning to the paper edges, which is typical for a piece of this age.
Glass: There are some light marks on the underside of the glass; a simple cleaning would refresh the look.
Frame: The vintage frame is sturdy and has a lovely aged patina, with only minor wear consistent with its 100+ year history.
A wonderful piece for a collector of traditional British art or someone looking for authentic "Cottagecore" decor.
