Vintage Brass Barrel Tap & Original Security Key

A rare find! This is a genuine early-20th-century solid brass barrel tap (spigot) complete with its original triangular security key. Most of these are found without the key, making this a fully functional and highly collectable set.

The tap features a perforated "strainer" tip, traditionally used in British pubs to filter out hops and sediment directly from the cask. The triangular key valve was a security measure used by landlords to prevent unauthorized pouring in the cellar.

Length: 15cm (Standard short-shank tap)

Material: Heavy solid brass with a beautiful aged patina.
