Rare Vintage Price Kensington Penguin Biscuit Barrel - Mid Century
Add some quirky mid-century charm to your kitchen with this stunning Price Kensington Penguin Biscuit Barrel. Standing at 26cm tall, this dapper fellow is a classic piece of British pottery history from the 1950s/60s.
He is dressed to impress in his tuxedo with a relief bow tie, buttons, and "Biscuits" pocket detail.
Condition:
This is a genuine vintage item and features a beautiful, consistent all-over glaze crazing that gives it wonderful character and confirms its age. The yellow on the beak and feet remains vibrant. There is a "T" potter's mark inside the lid. As is common with these older pieces, he has lived a life, but he is in lovely display condition for his age.
Perfect for collectors of kitsch kitchenalia, Price Kensington enthusiasts, or anyone who wants a unique "talking point" on their countertop!
