Pair of Vintage Japanese Kutani Porcelain Sake Bottles / Bud Vases – 17.5cm

A matching pair of vintage Japanese Kutani (九谷) porcelain sake bottles (Tokkuri), also ideal for use as tall bud vases. Measuring approximately 17.5cm in height, each piece is decorated in classic Aka-e iron-red enamels and gilt highlights. The hand-painted decoration features detailed botanical flora including peonies and chrysanthemums alongside birds in flight, set above a geometric fretwork border around the lower body. Both bottles bear red hand-painted characters/marks to the underside of the base.

Condition: Good vintage condition overall with minor surface age-wear to the gilt detailing on the rims and necks. One bottle shows a slight pale mark/minor glaze fleabite near the upper neck (please refer to photos for details). Free from major cracks or major structural damage.
