Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Fob Medal - Dover Harriers (1900)
Beautiful solid sterling silver antique athletic fob medal, hallmarked for Birmingham, 1900.
This is a genuine piece of sporting history, awarded to a member of the Dover Harriers (a historic cross-country/running club). It was made by the renowned silversmiths Vaughton & Sons, the prestigious firm famous for making the first Olympic medals and the FA Cup.

Material: Solid Sterling Silver (Hallmarked with the Lion Passant).
Date: 1900 (Date letter ‘a’).
Maker: V&S (Vaughton & Sons, Birmingham).
Weight: approx. 8g.
Dimensions: approx. 4cm x 3cm.
Design: Features a central shield with a runner/athlete figure, surrounded by ornate Victorian scrollwork. The reverse is engraved "Dover Harriers."
Condition: Excellent antique condition with a lovely natural patina. The hallmarks are crisp and easy to read. Perfect for a collector of medals, local Kent history, or to be worn on a silver Albert pocket watch chain.
